Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How much does the CNA exam preparation cost?

A: The cost is only $349.  The registration fee of $50 reserves your seat and includes a uniform, manual and supplies.  The remaining balance of $299 is due the first day of class and includes unlimited practice time and job referral.

Q: If I do not have a High School diploma or GED, can I still become a licensed CNA?

A: Yes, you can!  A High School diploma or GED is NOT required for our CNA exam preparation or to sit for the State exam.

Q: I have something that may show up on my background check, can I still become a licensed CNA?

A: In the case of applicants with a criminal history, there are documents that you may be asked to submit. We can help you through this process, but the Florida Board of Nursing will make the determination of eligibility.

Q: Do you offer a payment plan?

A: No, we do not offer a payment plan because our CNA examination preparation is a direct and affordable path to becoming a Florida licensed CNA.  You can, however, register by paying the $50 registration fee and selecting your desired start date.  Your remaining balance of $299 would be due on the first day of class.

Q: Do you offer financial assistance?

A: No, we do not offer financial assistance because we are a direct and affordable path to becoming a Florida licensed CNA.  We are, however, a ASO (Administrative Services Organization) provider and there may be funds available to purse adult education through the Children's Board of Hillsborough County.  We are happy to provide you an invoice with our provider number upon request.

Q: How long is the CNA exam preparation?

A:  Our CNA examination preparation is 4 days of instructor-led classroom time followed by unlimited practice time in the clinical testing area.  We offer two flexible schedules to choose from: Morning (10:00 am-2:00 pm) or Evening (5:00 pm-9:00 pm).  We also offer one weekend session per month.

Q: How can I possibly learn everything I need to know in 4 days?

A: Our CNA exam preparation is led by qualified instructors and designed to accommodate as many learning styles as possible in the most time efficient way possible.  Unlimited practice time is offered in the clinical testing area.  Unlimited practice time is optional,  but included if you would like additional practice.

Q: What if I took the class somewhere else already but need a refresher class?

A: We are an in-facility test site for Prometric, the exam delivery provider for the Florida Board of Nursing's FL Nurse Aide exam.  We do not offer refresher classes, except for testing candidates that have completed their exam preparation with us.

Q: Do you offer CNA exam preparation in Spanish?

A: Our CNA classes are only offered in English; however,  we recommend our evening CNA session for those individuals that are bilingual in English and Spanish.

Q: Is there any additional costs?

Q: Can I just challenge the exam?

A: Testing candidates must complete their exam preparation with us in order to take the State exam in our facility.
